Client overview
Advancing global health through coordinated action, innovation, and international collaboration
Founded in 1948, the client is a global agency that connects nations, partners, and people to promote health, keep the world safe, and serve the vulnerable so everyone, everywhere can attain the highest level of health. The client leads global efforts to expand universal health coverage, directs and coordinates the world's response to health emergencies, and promotes healthier lives from pregnancy care through old age, guided by its triple billion targets.
Zensar has been engaged with the client since 2015, delivering application development and managed services through a hybrid onsite-offshore delivery model using agile methodologies, with development, testing, sprint management, and support activities managed through JIRA.
Challenges
Manual fragmented processes slow decision-making and operational efficiency across core functions
Business users lacked self-service capability and had to rely on IT teams to create even simple reports, slowing down decision-making across finance, procurement, and projects.
The client's reporting and disclosure processes needed to comply with International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) Standards.
Existing HR leave and absence processes were complex and manual, with multiple business gaps that made everyday transactions slower than they needed to be.
Invoice processing across finance and procurement relied on manual capture and archiving, limiting the speed and consistency of the accounts payable process.
Overall, the client needed its processes across finance, HR, and procurement to become simpler, faster, and smarter, without compromising compliance
