Sudip Nandy

Sudip Nandy is a Strategic Advisor and Independent Board Member is several private organizations located in USA, UK and India. He is at present an Independent director on the Board of Zensar Technologies, a BSE listed c.$500M IT services organization. He is also on the Board of directors for Ampere Vehicles and Electric Two-wheeler company targeting India and Artison Agrotech an Environment conservation firm supported by USAID. Sudip is also a Managing Director and IT Operating partner with Chrys Capital. In his last operating role he was CEO and Board member for Aricent Inc, a private equity owned, ~$600m Innovation, Design and Engineering company headquartered in New Jersey. In 2013 Sudip was the Chairman India for Aricent. Sudip Nandy has been the President of the Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) Strategic Business Unit at Wipro Technologies. This unit, with over 21000 people and revenue run rate of US$1.4B was the largest third party Engineering Outsourcing Services business in the world. Sudip was a member of the IT Management Council of Wipro and a co-convener of the IT-Strategy Council of Wipro. Earlier he has been the Chief Strategy Officer of Wipro responsible for setting and driving the strategic direction of Wipro Technologies globally. His responsibilities included mergers and acquisitions for Wipro. He spearheaded the successful completion of nine acquisitions and two JV transactions. This included the largest ever-outward acquisition at that time by an Indian pure play IT Services Company - the acquisition of NASDAQ listed Infocrossing for US$600M+. He also led the integration efforts for these deals. Sudip had been with Wipro since 1983, in a variety of business and technology roles. Sudip has been Head of Wipro’s Europe Operations and lived in UK for over 4 years. Sudip has also worked in the Silicon Valley for the better part of the 90s first heading the R&D Services and Technology Business of Wipro in USA and subsequently as the Vice President of Product Development and Marketing at a Silicon Valley start-up called Enthink which was subsequently folded into Wipro. Sudip has an extensive understanding of both the technical and business imperatives of the outsourcing IT business as well as the hi-tech and design services business. Sudip has a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics with Honours from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and another one in Electrical Technology and Electronics from the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore. He is also an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad.
