Zensar announces First Quarter Year 2011-12 Results
Pune, India - 21st July 2011, Zensar Technologies, the leading global IT and BPO services provider has reported good working results for the quarter ended 30th June , 2011.
Consolidated Results for the First Quarter 30th June 2011 vis-à-vis last year - Revenue was Rs. 398.78 Cr for the quarter ended 30th June, 2011; the Y-0-Y growth was 65% (Rs 241.61Cr)
- Net profit after tax was Rs 27.07Cr for the Quarter ended 30th June, 2011; vis-à-vis profit of Rs32.48Cr in the corresponding quarter last year. Restructuring and Acquisition related expenses have resulted in lower profits in the current quarter.
Dr. Ganesh Natarajan, Vice Chairman and MD, Zensar said, “We are on track to become a significant player in both Infrastructure Management and Application Services globally and have seen excellent business in the USA and UK, reflecting the inherent strength of our new Vertical go-to-market strategy.” S Balasubramaniam, Chief Financial Officer, Zensar said, “As revenues come from the verticalised organization and as we continually focus on productivity and efficiency improvement the growth story continues and we look forward to a solid year of both revenue and profit growth.” Zensar rolled out its new and focused verticalised innovative solution strategy during the quarter and integrated the onsite Data Center and Information Security services of its acquired company, Akibia with its Remote Infrastructure Management service line. These moves are in line with the Company’s long-term strategy of building specific offerings across various lines of business thus embarking on an ambitious plan to be the next generation global industry player.
Business Update: - The company’s total head count was at 6185 as on 30thJune, 2011 including 333 Akibia associates
- The company has added 18 new customers in this quarter. Prominent amongst them are one of the world’s best-loved fashion and home furnishings companies headquartered in UK, leading pharmacy retailer headquartered in UK, Nirlife, a pharma division of Nirma Industries Limited, India, a leading manufacturing house in the Middle East that have the potential of becoming multi-million dollar accounts in the coming year
- Zensar is now an SAP Gold Partner – Signed Under the “Strategic Partner Initiative” in the U.S. for Offering Innovative Solutions to the SME Sector
- Zensar enters The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals IAOP Global Outsourcing 100 list
