Zensar Launches New Recession Package For Global and Indian Customers

12-02-2009, Pune

Zensar Technologies Ltd, the global technology and business services offshoring firm has launched an innovative service called 'Impact Sourcing' for its global customers facing pressure on costs and revenues due to the ongoing economic slowdown. This service is being simultaneously offered in the USA, Europe, Japan and India and the Company expects to garner over 40 million USD of new business through this innovative service in the next ten months.

Dr. Ganesh Natarajan, Vice Chairman & CEO of Zensar said, "We see the current economic crisis as a challenge as well as an opportunity for our global customers to increase market share and reduce costs. Our experience in working with some of the FTSE 100 and Fortune 100 companies in Manufacturing, Retail and Financial Services has given global sharpness to our solutions in consulting, technology development, business services and remote infrastructure management and helped us reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) in many cases by fifteen to twenty percent. The 10/10 formula which means savings of ten percent in any chosen process within ten months of our engagement has already been pilot tested and we believe this will provide enormous value to all customers".

The Impact Sourcing service envisages a 4 stage methodology which is built on the FTO (First Time Outsourcing) exercises that has got Zensar eighteen customers in seven countries in the current fiscal year. Each exercise impacts two or more of the organisation's key cornerstones - processes, infrastructure, applications and organization and goes through three phases - Discovery, Planning and Execution as the Zensar consultants work with the client and program-manage the process through to benefits realization.

Impact Sourcing also enables incorporation of interactive and exciting technology features of Web 2.0 which includes Blogs, Wikis and Mashups to facilitate creativity, communications, secure information sharing, collaboration and functionalities of the web. This allows users to build applications and services around the unique features of the Internet, as opposed to expecting the Internet to serve as a platform.

Krishna Ramaswami Vice President, Zensar said, "While Web 2.0 has been used in many social networking sites like Facebook, it is fast becoming a transformation platform for global collaboration. As part of the launch of Impact Sourcing for the Indian market, Zensar is focusing on the need for Indian corporations to use Web 2.0 solutions for all internal and external communication and collaboration purposes. Web 2.0 will soon become a way of doing business with enriched customer experience being the focal point. We are confident that we are enabling a faster development process and quick deployment of new age solutions through Impact Sourcing."
