Ganesh Natarajan cited among India’s Most Influential Technology Leaders

Dr Ganesh Natarajan, Chairman NASSCOM and CEO Zensar has been cited among ‘India’s Most Influential Technology Leaders-2008’ by Great CIO, Asia's largest social network of CIOs, IT Management and Technology leaders, headquartered in India.
The selection process was extremely rigorous; starting with 200 of the most significant IT leaders in India, which was then narrowed down to the top 25 on parameters that included:
- Influence (Company and Individual) on the technology space in India
- Company size and market share
- Revenue growth y-o-y
- Market leadership and technology evangelization
The RPG Group has recently appointed Ganesh to its Management Board and President of the IT Sector of the group. He has led Zensar Technologies as CEO since March 2001 and is now the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Company. Zensar was rated amongst Fortune’s Top 10 global offshore outsourcing companies from India in 2007.
Ganesh has been a member of NASSCOM’s Executive Council since 1994 and is Chairman of NASSCOM for the year 2008-09. “2009 promises to be a tough year for the industry but the multiple agendas of Innovation, Education and Green IT we have taken up for the industry will stand us in good stead. We look forward to a continuation of the STPI scheme which will give the much needed boost to new segments of the industry and will enable us to sustain our lead over international competition”, said the NASSCOM Chairman.
Ganesh is an alumnus of IIT Bombay and the Harvard Business School, and a Gold Medalist in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering. A PhD in Knowledge Management from IIT Bombay, he has authored four McGraw Hill Books on Business Process Reengineering and Knowledge Management and is a regular columnist for India’s premier Business and IT magazines.
