Zensar Posts 35% profit for 2008-09

Global Information technology and BPO company Zensar Technologies Limited services provider reported 16 percent higher revenues and a 35 percent higher profit after taxes for the year 2008-09 as against revenues and profits after tax last year (2007-08).

A press release from the company said the consolidated revenues for the year 2008-09 were 16 percent higher at Rs 908.08 crore as compared with total revenues of Rs 782.93 crore last year. The profits after tax for the year 2008-09 were 35 percent higher at Rs 86.56 crore as compared with profits after tax for the year 2007-08 at Rs. 64.03 crore, the release said.

For the fourth quarter, revenue was up from Rs. 204.00 crore to Rs 214.76 crore as against same quarter last year, showing 5 percent growth. Net income was Rs 23.03 crore against Rs 21.54 for the same quarter last year.
