In The SpotlightReflections 2009Location: Zensar Innovation Park | Date: 21st May 2009 | Time: 12:00 Noon IST ( 6:30 AM GMT )At Zensar we believe that culturally responsive behaviour is fundamental to business. Reflections 2009 was our way of celebrating different cultures of all those who came together on Second Life to share their perspectives on the culture of Innovation. We celebrated a day long event on May 21st the World Diversity Day with architects, fashion designers, singers and dancers and people from the culture industry on our Innovation Island. Creative and carefully designed structures were all a part of the twelve hour event where designers kept changing and evolving their structures to newer and more intricately designed forms of architecture attracting a host of other Second Life virtual builders who came to on our Sandbox* to create this. The great pyramids of Egypt, a traditional Korean temple and a channel tunnel segment were all replicated in smaller forms on the Sandbox displaying diverse styles on a global platform. Yanti Sands (SL name) won the Best Design Award for his brilliant structure, inspired by the Atomic Center of Brussels, who went back richer with cash prize of 10,000 Linden $ - the official prize money for the competition. The proceeding of the event was captured and streamed live online for everyone to view . The event drew participation from over forty avatars including ten professional builders in SL who participated in the competition. |
