The Customer

Hikma is a multinational pharmaceutical group, headquartered in London with manufacturing facilities in the US, Jordan, Portugal, Italy and Saudi Arabia. It develops and markets generic pharmaceuticals, as well as in-licensed, patented pharmaceutical products (176 items in 397 dosage strengths) in 40 countries across the globe.

The Solution

Zensar has so far handled about seven assignments for Hikma in Jordan, USA, Algeria, Germany and now Saudi Arabia. Hikma has been our customer since 2005. Most of them have been end-to end implementations and support besides computer system validations, Business Intelligence and system enhancements.

Zensar's engagement with Hikma:

  • Hikma – Amman – Jordan ( August 2005 and January 2006)
  • Trust Pharma – Algiers – Algeria ( July 2007 and January 2008)
  • Hikma GmbH – Mainz and Munich – Germany ( July 2007 and January 2008)
  • Jazeera Pharmaceutical Industries – Riyadh – K S A ( Currently in progress)

Zensar implemented SAP R/3 Version 4.7. The diversified service requirements included application development, implementation and customization, maintenance, data migration and BW development. The development of functional and technical specifications, integration testing and for all these activities the training was carried out onsite. Zensar adopted best practices and methodologies in a tightly integrated and highly collaborative service delivery framework.

The following SAP modules and functionalities were part of scope for the project:

  • Financial Accounting & Controlling, Sales and Distribution, Materials Management , Production and Planning ( PP-PI), Quality Management, Warehouse Management, Plant Maintenance, Business Intelligence and other customizations in NetWeaver
  • User Interface : SAP Support was extended across Jordan, Algeria, Germany, Westward – USA, Egypt and Germany
