Improved efficiency with Zensar’s SEI CMMi Level 5 processes
The Customer Marston's Pub Company is the UK's largest producer of cask ale with five operating breweries in Burton, Wolverhampton, Ringwood, Cockermouth and Whitney and is one of the UK's leading pub companies with over 1700 tenanted and leased pubs forming the Marston's Pub Company estate. The Business Challenge Marston’s Pub company operates over 600 pubs on cash with order basis. The Cash With Order (CWO) customers are charged on a weekly basis along with the cost of the goods. The process was a manual, paper based one and was not joined up to the rent, Conditional Sales Agreement or debt loading processes. This left MPC exposed to undercharging cash with order customers. Tighter control of the CWO process was required to ensure that all money due is encapsulated in the weekly payment and the risks of missed payment and debts being under calculated are reduced. The Solution Zensar was identified to replace the current manual process of preparing the CWO Data sheets with an SAP solution. With this solution, data from controlling spreadsheets, which have been built to fulfill business process requirements to monitor weekly charges (Rent, Service Charges, F&F Charges, Building Insurance, Debt Loaders, and Deposit Loaders) and the cost of the goods for the given week, was incorporated to provide the business with a single source of data.
