Awards and RecognitionThe Innovators Award: In order to recognize excellence and innovation amongst associates, the Company has constituted an award called the Innovators award which ties in with the organizations goals of building an innovation eco-system within the organization. The Excellence Awards: Excellence Awards are held to honour the year's winners and acknowledge the accomplishments that have taken place in the organization due to the passion, dedication and leadership of the associate. These coveted honors are in recognition for an individual's stupendous contribution to the organization and its business growth. Values Game, Workshop and Certification: The Company with a view of engaging with its associates has also created an interactive game on the Values that the Company stands for. Every associate in the organization undergoes the workshop and certification and is also given an opportunity to learn about the values of the organization through a game created in house. This in turn helps associates align with goals of the Company and helps them inculcate its core values that the organization is built upon. EmpowermentGlobal Everybody Meetings (EBMs) are conducted at various levels across the organization and are an effective platform for employee engagement. Global EBMs are open sessions where the management shares the organizational strategy and business map with the associates and also uses this forum to address the associates' issues/concerns/apprehensions/feedback. Each session is driven by a management team member and this year we have conducted over 20 such sessions across all our Global centers. The Vision Community is a voluntary participative platform comprising of motivated individuals with grit and nerve, capability and commitment to contribute to the organization. This forum was created in 2001 has ever since proven to be an effective initiative engaging people at all levels. The Vision Community this year has participation from senior management to management trainees who from an extended part or our strategy team. Women for Excellence (WE) is an interactive forum that facilitates discussion, dialogue and encourages women to discover their inherent potential and helps fuel their desire for excellence. WE meet(s) every quarter to debate, discuss and share experiences with successful women who have realized their dreams and have achieved success. This is a forum for Zensar's women employees to help foster leadership in women employees and encourage them to break the barrier and realize their true potential. The Centers of Excellence (COE) Pioneers in education, Zensar has a leadership that comprises veterans from the field of Education. The Company has built a learning environment in the organisation with various e-learning modules, development programmes, training sessions and Centers of Excellence. Our Center of Excellence program demonstrates our partnership and involvement with educational institutions. Zensar has recently opened its first outsourcing center in Poland and a team of 23 Polish University students are undergoing training at Zensar's headquarters in Pune. The students here will not only be developing their programming skills further but will also learning more complex IT infrastructure design and architecture. We are also proposing a Center of Excellence for IT workforce development through technology and innovation, with increased collaboration with the Govt of Gdansk and the Poland academia. Training through Zensar's unique Global Delivery Platform (GDP) Under this initiative, Zensar enables technology development centres (TDC) to be set up in participating academic institutions linked to the technology hub. Students from each TDC will be linked to Zensar experts and be able to access Zensar's technology innovations. Zensar has collaborated with various national and international Universities through the Virtual Global Delivery Model (VGDM) to enable industry and academia together to cultivate more productive and effective, industry-ready students. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at Zensar has been through a transformation over the last year, moving from being a sponsor to being an active change agent in driving positive change in the community adopted by Zensar for its CSR program. Zensar has been driving this change through direct participation of its employees - both here in India and overseas. The whole program has, through its inclusion across locations, levels and functions, been a very visible deployment of one of Zensar's core organizational values - Social Responsibility Work Life BalanceWork Life balance is a critical component of our associate engagement program. We encourage this through various initiatives that help associates work more productively and relate to their organization, these initiatives give us an overview of the measures taken by the organization in this regard but the measures are not limited to the following: Daycare Centre: Is an attempt to help associates maintain the illusive work-life balance that each one is striving to achieve owing to their busy lifestyles. The Centre has been specifically designed to meet all the requirements of the children and has adequate rest areas, study enclosures, clean-up area and ample free spaces for children to move around. In addition, the Centre also boasts of an outdoor play area well equipped with sand pits and other interesting and engaging play junctions. This Center has not only been designed in-keeping with children's requirements but also meets with the necessary health, security and safety standards obligatory to such ventures. ZenShare: Is an initiative to drive fun @ Zensar. We have several interest groups which are completely managed by the employees to encourage and facilitate employee participation in activities beyond work. These include:
Madat-Online: One of the most unique and popular practices with associates, is the Madat Online service. We have a dedicated service to take care of all sundry chores of our associates; like bill payments, bank transactions and submission of applications/forms etc. This initiative has been greatly appreciated by all our associates. The service simply entails hiring one person who does the rounds at various buildings and runs the chores of all associates who are interested and best of all for associates - it is completely free of cost! This ensures associates do not have to leave their office premises for these chores. On the Campus Medical Center: We have a medical center staffed by visiting qualified doctors to attend to the medical needs and exigencies of our associates, the center in functional 24 * 7 for associates working in shifts. We also have a visiting corporate counselor to counsel our associates on issues related to work-life balance. ConveyanceSubsidized conveyance to work: We run a fleet of buses to safely transport our associates from all parts of the city to work, and back. These buses also shuttle between our different office locations in the city of Pune, and operate at staggered timings to cater to the flexible timings of our associates. The contracted vehicles we use for transporting our associates are all from reputed contracting agencies that have been carefully evaluated by our Administration team and are constantly monitored for safety and punctuality of service. Conveyance for associates working in shifts: Since we service global customers across time zones, many of our teams work in different work shifts, so we provide company transportation to pick up and drop these associates. EventsRound-the-Year Inclusive Events: Along with Vividha- a spirited, vibrant and colorful employee extravaganza that celebrates the character and camaraderie that binds associates together. A platform that provides Zensarians and their families a forum to meet, interact, collaborate and participate through various cultural events. We also have competitions like indoor games, cricket, Quizzes, Antakshari, and Rangoli. We extend the participation for these competitions to the families of our associates as well. We also celebrate all major festivals like Diwali, Dussera and Christmas Recreation: We have table tennis tables at different locations in the campus. Our teams also have regular football and cricket matches too enhancing team spirit. Also the organization has tie-ups with neighboring clubs and gyms etc, whereby associates get discounted membership by virtue of being Zensarians. Zensar also has a great reputation in Pune and in financial institutions, who also allow Zensarians special benefits on their products like loans, credit cards etc. Round-the-clock Canteen: We have a full fledged canteen that serves all meals and snacks to our associates' round-the-clock. Our canteens are equipped with television sets for our employees to stay updated on activities around the work. |
